The Board of Review is authorized by the General Property Tax Act, Public Act 206 of 1893, MCL 211.28 to 211.33. In Frankenmuth Township, it is comprised of three township residents appointed by the Township Board.   They examine and review the assessment roll for the current year as prepared by the supervisor/assessor.  They may add property omitted from the assessment roll or correct errors in names, descriptions of property, and the assessment and valuation of property. Every March, taxpayers may appear in person to the Board to ask that their assessment be reviewed.   The Board endorses the completed assessment roll which is what your Notice of Assessment is based on.
